Stockholm, Sweden
I
like Stockholm. I know that sounds pretty blasé, but St. Petersburg
is the only port here I've really been taken with.
Stockholm is just a lovely, big city.
There's a lot of pretty places to walk, churches and a royal palace to look at. Since I never go on excursions, I've just seen things from the outside.

They have royals here, so have a royal guard protecting and defending.
Well, mostly just standing around looking picturesque.

I'm not sure what these fellows were about. They reminded me of the LDS "Best Dressed Bikers" back home.

I shot the photo surreptitiously, back when I still had a zoom on my camera. Not sure if that officially makes me a stalker. I didn't follow them or anything.
The zoom went away with the shutter button, sheared off when I was hiking in Norway. I've replaced said shutter button with the ball head of one of those pretty straight-pins used in sewing, held in place with a piece of Scotch tape.
Much more convenient than the fork tine I'd been poking in the spot, but it doesn't make the zoom go.
There's a whole lot of water in this place. The photo below left is only remarkable because I was looking at a huge waterway and suddenly spotted a fisherman standing STANDING in the middle.

Boats, and more boats. And a duck. I still like ducks.

This archway led to the shopping plaza. I have to optimize the heck out of these photos so they don't take forever to load, but it looked like you were walking into a movie backdrop. Colorful banners hung down above the walkway off in the distance. I really liked how focused the perspective lines seemed.

There were street musicians. This fellow only barely qualified in that category. He was rocking back and forth over his bent knees obliviously in time to a repetitive harmonica lick known only to him and all 4 yr olds with their first harmonica.
But he had enthusiasm.
